E-learning for kids

E-learning for kids is an American-based, educational website, created in 2004 to assist children with cognitive development. The site unlike many other educational websites, not only provides programs to assist children with phonetics, it provides assistance for most subject areas. Some of the subjects on the website are: math, language arts, computer science, and health. The subjects are then subdivided according to age. The website is easily accessible to children of all ages, it is also very easy to navigate through. Children are attracted to the site because of the variety of color and the cartoon characters used in the site. Lessons on the site are taught through the constructivism method of learning, by using games. Instead of passively receiving knowledge from others learning on the site is both an active and reflective process. Because games are used to teach the lessons the children do not actually feel as though they are doing work and learning automatically becomes easier.
